And so it continues. The preparation for this trip has been immense. Deb and I have managed to work out what we would like to do for much the time we will be in London. We have two visits to London of 4-5 days each. I discovered a great site which has details of 4 different walks around London. So we photocopied the pages from our AAGreat Britain road maps, and have marked out the walks and sites we hope to see. While doing this we also discovered that there is a walk called the Thames Path which is part of a National Trails walk (of 184 miles) from the Cottswolds to the Thames Barrier in Greenwich. We plan to do as much of the Thames - London section as possible.
We have been increasing our walking distances while taking the dogs for walks (nearly every day) and can now walk 6 kms in an hour. This is a huge increase on what we could do 18 months ago. So hopefully, by the time we get to the UK we will be doing that and more with ease.
All accomodation is now booked too. We managed to find a lovely Inn called Badger Inn in Lelant, St Ives for the Cornwall section of our trip. Lelant is the village where my ancesters came from.
