The Big Day Arrives

It is 3am and I am awake - nervous and anxious about the big trip. I decided that I should do one last post before we leave home. Yesterday was particularly stressful as Pippa our beautiful big dog had to go to the vet for more tests to try and determine what is wrong with her. She has been drinking enormous amounts of water, and eating lots more than usual, and the diagnosis of Diabetes Insipidus has been eliminated, and now the Vet thinks that it may be an Adrenal tumour. So she had a test with Cortisol yesterday to determine blood levels of steroids. Unfortunately the results won't be back until today, so we have had to leave Claudine with getting the results and letting us know. We have asked the Vet to treat Pippa conservatively with medications if the diagnosis is a tumour.
Coupled with this was the news that Deb's mother has a fractured hip. She had a fall a few weeks ago, and thought it was related to her knee - giving her pain, but not preventing her from walking. She was admitted to hospital, but given the way the NSW Public Health system is going, she has been sent home to wait until a bed becomes available for her to have surgery (as a private patient). More worries for both of us.
Claudine, Leo and Isabelle had dinner with us last night and they took our two dogs to their house for the night. This was to save the dogs and us being very stressed when it is time for us to go.
We have booked a car to pick us up at 5.30am and that will convey us to the airport.
I managed to get 4 hours sleep, and I guess that will be my lot for tonight. However, I have been managing on that amount for some time now.
Yesterday I took Isabelle to the pool for her swimming lessons and managed to capture some of it on video. So will attempt to post a clip now to see how it goes with this post.

As you know we have been in the Central West for the past two weeks, so lots of blogs to catch up on. Sorry the worries don't stop, but hopefully others will come to the rescue and all will be well.
